Privacy Policy

We try to collect as little personal data as possible. Here is what the game uses and why:

Local storage. Your browser stores settings, sound preferences, local progress, past-voyage history, and an anonymous identifier used for resume and referral features.
Game operation. When you start or continue a run, we temporarily process and store game-session data on our server so the game can work, recover from interruptions, and validate results. This includes your game state, anonymous identifier, and limited technical data such as screen size and country code.
Leaderboard. If you submit a leaderboard entry, we store the display name you enter, your score, tier, starting city, modifiers, date, and anonymous identifier. No account or real name is required.
Feedback. If you use the feedback form, we receive the message you write, your optional contact details, your anonymous identifier, and a country code. Please do not include sensitive personal data in feedback messages.
Analytics. We record limited pseudonymous gameplay and technical events so we can balance the game, understand feature usage, and investigate bugs. This may include things like game starts, trades, travel, service usage, anonymous identifier, country code, and screen size.
Hosting and security. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and timing for security and delivery, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Advertising. If and when advertising is enabled, we intend to use Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits, as described in Google's ads policy. This notice will be updated when ads go live.
Retention and rights. Temporary game-session data is kept only for a limited time. Leaderboard, feedback, and analytics records may be kept longer where needed to operate and improve the service. You can clear locally stored data at any time in your browser. To request access, correction, or deletion of leaderboard or feedback data, email info@exponencial.ao.

We process this data to provide the game you request, operate the leaderboard and feedback features, protect the service, and improve the game. Where the law requires consent for a specific feature, we will rely on that consent.

Terms of Use

1497 AD is provided free of charge, "as is", without warranty of any kind. The game is currently in beta: features, balance, leaderboards, and saved runs may change or be reset as development continues.
In-game Gold and all other in-game assets have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or transferred outside the game.
You agree not to use automated tools, cheats, exploits, or scraping to gain unfair leaderboard advantage or to disrupt the service for other players.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exponencial Lda is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the game, including lost progress, data loss, or service downtime.
Optional voluntary support via Ko-fi is a gift to the developer and does not purchase any goods, services, or in-game advantages.
